Michael Brown, Fashion God

FEMA email shows Brown as idiot, more worried about attire and eating arrangements than actually doing his job.

Actual emails (courtesy Foxnews.com)

Love the part about him being a 'Fashion God'. Priceless.

  1. 1. Wilson has been shown to have lied many times. He first said Cheny's offfice sent him to Africa - later to have to back track when the Vice Presidents staff denied that. Turns out his wife, a Bush Hater, arranged his trip.
    2. His wife was not "outed". She had not worked undercover for over 6 years. Thus no charges to that crime.
    3. Clinton was found guilty in a trial. Scooter hasn't had a trial an thus should be "inocent untl proven guilty". If found guilty by trial, I'll agree - jail time. If inscent, a lot of the left has a lot to appoligize for.
    4. The Washington Post, like the New York Times and the LA Times are left wing mouth pieces of the "I Hate Bush" crowd. I question the validity of the email. Note that it was scanned to a pdf file, lots of oppertunity to change or fake it. Most emails are archived by converting directly to pdf, not scanning it. Sounds like CBS all over again. If it is real, I'd like to see the emails preceeding and following it to put it into context.
Pleas note: I am NOT a Brown fan. He was fired, and that was good. But lets get honest, now.

  2. Amazing, isn't it - how the talking points are just regurgitated again and again, regardless of the evidence. And the people who rail the most against 'Bush Haters" (and use that as a reason to dismiss whatever points are being made) are...wait for it..."Clinton Haters"! And if the FEMA e-mails were faked, you can be sure the people who they are attributed to would have already denied it, as they are all still around and no doubt aware of the fuss being made about them.

I could hardly believe it when I read "Fashion God"! And the part where he was ordered to roll up his shirtsleeves like the President, so he could emulate the Fake-Worker-In-Chief!

BTW, Drew - great blog! I love what you've done with the template, especially the number of comments by the title! I'm adding you to my blogroll.

  4. Could you repost the link to Fox? I think there's a double http on there which sends it directly to Microsoft. Surely your first commenter should see it from a source he trusts - Fox News!

  5. Dad:

    1. Wilson has been shown to have lied many times. He first said Cheny's offfice sent him to Africa - later to have to back track when the Vice Presidents staff denied that. Turns out his wife, a Bush Hater, arranged his trip.

This is a rumor that was started by a talking points memo handed down from Ken Mehlman, and has been regurgetated repeatedly by the RWM.

    From Alternet.com ->Top 9 Plamegate Lies

Falsehood: Wilson said that Cheney sent him to Niger

An RNC talking points memo made public on July 12 accused Wilson of falsely claiming "that it was Vice President Cheney who sent him to Niger." The allegation that Wilson had lied about the genesis of his trip was soon repeated by RNC chairman Ken Mehlman, who argued that this fact justified the purported leaking of Plame's identity to the press and that the White House had simply been attempting to set the record straight.

New York Times columnist David Brooks made this argument at least twice (here and here). And a string of journalists and commentators -- including CNN's Dana Bash, the Washington Post's Mike Allen, Newsweek's Jon Meacham, and U.S. News and World Report's Michael Barone -- parroted the allegation during news reports and media appearances in the following weeks. NBC chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell recently repeated the claim as a guest on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews.

But Wilson never said that Cheney sent him to Niger. To support this accusation, the RNC had misrepresented his July 6, 2003, op-ed in the New York Times and distorted a remark he made in an August 3, 2003, interview on CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer. Contrary to their allegation, Wilson clearly stated in the op-ed that "agency officials" had requested he travel to Niger. Further, in the CNN appearance, he stated it was "absolutely true" that Cheney was unaware he went on the trip.

    2. His wife was not "outed". She had not worked undercover for over 6 years. Thus no charges to that crime.

Correct me if I'm reading this wrong, but the Intellegence Identities Protection Act does not have a statute of limitations regarding when it's 'okay' to disclose that someone has been a covert agent. The outing of Plame not only put her life in danger, but the lives of every contact she had made, every person involved in her CIA front organization, as well as every contact they had made. It's not just one person we're talking about here.

    3. Clinton was found guilty in a trial. Scooter hasn't had a trial an thus should be "inocent untl proven guilty". If found guilty by trial, I'll agree - jail time. If inscent, a lot of the left has a lot to appoligize for.

True, there is a remote possiblility that Libby may get off scott free in the end, however, typically in these sorts of cases, that doesn't happen. Let me ask you this (and again, I'm not saying this to defend Clinton, but to shed light on the hypocracy of demanding that Americans recuse themselves from prejudging Libby). When Clinton was put under investigation for Whitewater or Paula Jones or Monica Lewinski, did you rush to judgement? Answer honestly. I did. I'll admit it.

Fox News carried the same article and that's where the PDF's came from.... so I guess it's a Fair and Balanced story. The emails were introduced as print evidence in the ongoing investigation into FEMA. They were submitted to the news media because they were scanned in from printed documents.

Welcome... this template is nice, but it definitely needs some tweaking. Seems that the word 'comments' doesn't actually appear by the hit count until you mouse over it. Kinda annoying.

Thanks for dropping by and feel free to link!
